Project description:
The existing nursing home with 45 beds no longer met the requirements of a modern, old generation friendly elderly home. For this reason, the entire building has been renovated and rebuilt.
There are single en-suite rooms refurnished and necessary ancillary rooms have been created. In addition a dormitory, adding 35 beds, has been built out. This senior centre has a capacity of 80 beds incl. double-room apartments and land for common rooms and occupational therapy were created. It now has the ability to be run economically efficient. Meeting current standards the rooms are en-suite, beds that are approachable from both sides, floor to ceiling windows, a call- and a ventilation system, which is powered by alternative energy. The building was developed focussing on a low operational cost when choosing its technology and materials. The small church, which lays within immediate proximity, is being utilised. The building is converted to create two levels of kitchen, adjoining rooms, dining room and office space are created.
