Reconstruction of the community center with a growing service area. The existing community hall has been extended and has also given a new, raised flat roof. The entire building was brought up to date energy state to meet the EnEV. Inside, the division has been adapted to the current needs of the community.
The newly built worship area is characterized by its large windows, which were provided plans by the artist Jacques de Jong with stained glass. The east wall consists of a space enclosed by windows wall that has a window in a cross shape in the center and is curved toward the inner portion. This open east wall then fall during the service in the morning, the sun’s rays into the room. By means of a sliding wall system is the worship area was connected to the adjacent multi-room, so both can be used separately or as one large room.
Outside, new parking spaces have been created and connected via a new footpath directly to the community center, the entire entrance to the building has been made handicapped accessible. All existing rooms have been modernized and revised. The construction of a bell tower is still in the planning phase.
